Suria FM’s anti-graft campaign extended
KUALA LUMPUR: Suria FM’s promotion of the Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission’s (MACC) anti-graft campaign has been extended by another few weeks.
The radio station is extending its ground crew promotion of the MACC’s 3J (Jangan Hulur, Jangan Kawtim and Jangan Settle) by a week while on air collaborations will proceed until the first week of June. The airwave collaborations include public service announcements and interviews with high-ranking MACC officers over the next two weeks.
The Suria Wheelers will be making appearances at three locations daily in the Klang Valley until the end of the week.
Radio ground teams will be handing out MACC goodie bags, which include car stickers, woven bags, compact bags and hand fans.
“Through this campaign, Suria FM listeners can learn about the right channels to make a report should they encounter any cases of corruption,” said Suria Wheeler cruiser Muhammad Lutfi Amir during one of the stops at Berjaya Times Square yesterday.
He said Suria FM helped to increase awareness by directing the public to the MACC website.
“Sometimes during our stops, the public ask us about the campaign and we explain and direct them to the website,” he said.
Suria FM listeners will be alerted to the pitstops during their regular broadcast, with the information also available on the radio station’s website, www.suria.my.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad called on the public to lend a hand in the fight against corruption.
The month- long campaign received a pledge of support from Star Media Group, among other media organisations.
It is one of the initiatives under the Anti-Corruption Revolution Movement (Gerah).
