England goalkeeper Hart confirms he will return to City

-

LONDON: Joe Hart (pic) has revealed he will return to Manchester City this summer and is not going to come back to Torino next season.

The England goalkeeper, 30, has spent the campaign on loan with the Seria A side but has conceded a staggering 62 goals in just 36 games.

He ended his spell by letting in another three on Sunday in a 5-3 win against Sassuolo, leaving the Granata with a ninth-place league finish.

Hart said to ESPN: “I really enjoyed it. I’m not going to come back but I had a good time.”

The former Birmingham ace still has a contract with City until 2019 but is not wanted by boss Pep Guardiola.

He is expected to be sold on for around £20mil (RM110mil), with a number of English Premier League clubs including West Ham interested in snapping him up.

Torino had already revealed they did not have the funds to make a full-time move for him.

And Hart insists he does not want another loan spell away and is keen to have his permanent future decided over the summer.

He added that another loan “is not the right thing for me at my age”.

Guardiola has also made it clear Hart is not wanted back at City by making a £43mil (RM236mil) move for Benfica star Ederson.

Claudio Bravo could also move away, as his No. 1 spot is put under threat despite just one season in the Premier League.

And Willy Caballero has already left the club, with his contract expiring in the next few days.
