Chilam going to Hollywood
HK star gets first international role, opposite Brosnan and Bautista
HONG Kong singer and actor Julian Cheung (pic), better known as Chilam, will be starring alongside former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan, in the upcoming Hollywood action movie Final Score.
This is the first time Cheung, 45, has been cast in a Hollywood film, Sin Chew Daily reported.
Final Score will star Brosnan, who played Agent 007 in four of the popular spy films between 1995 and 2002, and American actor and semi-retired professional wrestler Dave Bautista.
Bautista, recently seen in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, will be the male lead in the movie. He will play a former soldier who tries to rescue civilians held hostage in a stadium during a major sports event.
Cheung, who has acted in TVB action and romantic dramas since the early 1990s, made the announcement at a press conference in Shanghai on Sunday.
He has been nominated for a TVB Anniversary Award for Best Actor for his roles in Return of the Cuckoo (2002), Take My Word for It (2002), Shades of Truth (2004), The Rippling Blossom (2011) and Triumph in the Skies II (2013).
