A NAKED man believed to be mentally ill caused a commotion when he brandished a parang at firefighters and ended up being knocked down by a car.

Harian Metro reported that the man, in his 40s, raged in front of a petrol station near a commercial centre in Sungai Buloh at 2am on Thursday.

Firefighters decided to hose him down but things got out of control when the man confronted the firefighters.

The man then ran towards the road and a passing car hit him, said Sungai Buloh operations commander Rosdi Hainan.

He suffered minor injuries. The man was later handed over to the police for further investigations.

> A YouTube stunt turned tragic when a teenager from Minnesota, United States, shot her boyfriend to death on Thursday, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The couple, Monalisa Perez, 19, and Pedro Ruiz, 22, carried out the deadly stunt, hoping to boost popularity and followers on their YouTube channel.

In the video, Ruiz held a book 30cm away from his chest while Perez used a Desert Eagle pistol with .50-caliber bullets to shoot at his chest through the book.

They believed the book would block the bullet but their stunt backfired. Their three-year-old child is said to be in the same room where they filmed the video.

Perez had been detained on the charge of killing her boyfriend.
