Woman with sob story gets caught out

-

A SWINDLER who was caught on camera has promised to stop taking advantage of people’s sympathy, reported China Press.

Apparently, the woman was going around claiming that she was robbed, and asked people to help her with some money.

A driver, known only as Wong, told the daily that the woman stopped her car and claimed that she was robbed by five students, at about 1pm on Friday.

Wong said the woman claimed she felt dizzy and begged Wong to send her to the nearest bus stop.

In the car, the woman narrated to Wong about her “ordeal”, and Wong recorded a video of her after getting permission from the woman.

Wong then suggested going to a police station but the woman refused and got out of the car.

The daily reported that the woman asked for RM10 but Wong gave her RM20 instead.

Wong then posted the video on Facebook as she thought it could help the woman by letting others know of her ordeal.

However, some netizens pointed out that they had also bumped into the same woman, who told them a similar story.

The daily managed to track the woman down to her house in the Mambau new village on the outskirts of Seremban.

However, the woman denied that she had cheated people, and claimed the people gave her money “out of sympathy”, though she promised that she would not pull the stunt again.
