Cancer-stricken boy wants to meet football idol

A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy wishes to see his idol, Perak footballer Hafiz Kamal, before he loses his sight to cancer, reported Harian Metro.

Mohd Ariffudin Mohd Nor Hafiz was brought to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment after his left eye swelled drasticall­y.

His mother, Nor Azlin Mohamad, 28, said the cancer spread quickly in the past five months.

“The stage four cancer caused his left eyeball to pop out, and he’s almost blind in his right eye,” she said, adding that radiothera­py was his last hope.

“He gets so excited every time he watches Hafiz on TV, so I understand his desire to meet the football player,” she said.

Nor Azlin added that although all expenses for Ariffudin are covered by the hospital, the family is barely able to make ends meet.

Azlin and her husband quit their jobs to takke care off Ariffudini­ffdi and his twwo younger brothers.

The Hello Kitty nasi lemak is sold from 7am to 9am at RM3.50 per box.

“We’re also selling our nasi lemak online, which we deliver with the Hello Kitty car,” said Nurul Aida, adding that they plan to expand.
