Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan (pic), the chief executive officer of the Employees Provident Fund, is the latest corporate leader to sign up for the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2017.

“Count me in. I am sure it’ll be a most memorable experience for me,” he said.

“It is really timely and coincides with many important events to mark our nation’s 60th anniversary.

“Malaysia has come far and this is a good time to show our strength in unity,” he added.

Shahril said the walk would bring Malaysians together as one, regardless of race, religion or status.

He also noted that this year’s event was significant in that Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah would be gracing the walk.

“This is unprecedented and it shows how Malaysians want to come together to demon strate unity,” he said.

Shahril will be taking part in the event with his family. “We are looking forward to it,” he said. Other corporate figures who have pledged to join the walk are Permodalan Nasional Bhd chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, CIMB Group chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak, AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Khazanah Nasional managing director Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar.
