> Greatest sportsmen

Usain Bolt joins Pele as the greatest and unstoppable legendary sportsmen. Both revolutionised and became ambassadors of their respective sports, with integrity. Farewell, Mr Bolt. – PJ Gomes

> Put it on record

Dr Paneer Selvam’s first ever aorta replacement surgery in our country certainly deserves a place in The Malaysia Book Of Records. – Patient Patients

> Protect our coastlines

More enforcement officers are needed to patrol and protect our coastlines against foreign fishermen and the fishing of immature marine produce by our own fishermen.

> Passbook or online

Banks and ASNB should give depositors the choice to do their transactions with passbooks or online. Let us remember there are among us very senior citizens, those with vision problems, and those who are not familiar or comfortable with doing it online. Spare a thought for such clients, please.

> Move with the times

Bank Negara should consider regulating all our banks to include teller machines for passbook updates. This will enable customers to have details of all their transactions through machines. It’s common in many other countries. Our banks should be customerfriendly in this age of technology. – CT Tan

> Love MACC

Love to read about new arrests involving the country’s corrupts daily. Please keep up the good work.

> Tints and visors

It is not uncommon to find many cars with heavily tinted windscreens on our roads. I do not understand how the drivers of these heavily tinted windscreens, without JPJ compliance, can get away with it. JPJ should do something about this. – DMK Despite the fact that snatch thieves and armed robbers are using tinted visors when committing crimes, the Transport Ministry has up to now not hauled up the users of these helmets. Are not these helmets banned by the Transport Ministry?

> Abide by the law

Disgruntled food operators from B. Baru should have followed the Hawkers’ By-laws and applied for licences to operate legally in the first place. Don’t plead ignorance and complain about being treated unfairly when action is taken. Malaysians should be law-abiding citizens. No one is above the law.

> Hot under the collar

People are so angry nowadays; not being calm, cool and patient. Even over small matters, they use violence instead of talking. Dangerous. Please be caring Malaysians. – N.V. Subbarow, Penang
