Cop caught with his pants down isn’t saying a word
ALOR SETAR: The police inspector who was caught in a women’s toilet, clad only in his underpants, has been sent for mental evaluation.
State police chief Comm Datuk Asri Yusoff said the 32-year-old had not spoken a word to investigators since his arrest.
“We are still investigating what actually happened at the shopping mall on Monday,” Comm Asri said yesterday.
Comm Asri added that the inspector, who was based at the Integrity and Standard Compliance Department in the state police headquarters, was high on drugs when he was arrested.
At about 12.30am four days ago, a commotion broke out at the shop- ping mall and a police team was dispatched to the premises.
They found the inspector clad in only his underpants inside a women’s toilet on the fourth floor.
A video of an angry woman reprimanding the man for his presence inside the toilet has gone viral.
Police seized a transparent plas- tic bag containing 0.62gm of syabu and the inspector’s urine tested positive for methamphetamine.
The suspect, who is single and joined the force in 2005 as a CID investigating officer in the Kuala Muda district, was remanded for seven days under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
