SINGAPORE: Star Media Group’s creative and innovative advertising campaign has received international accolades at the Spark Awards.

It received the Best Media Solution – Print for its Wonda Coffee campaign.

The Star beat two other media houses, Singapore Press Holdings and Mongoose Publishing, to bag the award.

Present to receive the award at a gala dinner yesterday at the Intercontinental Hotel was Star Media Group general manager (advertising and business development) Chua Chee Beng.

“Print advertising need not be static. It depends on how you work it to make it more engaging,” he said.

Chua said Star Media Group works closely with Etika Group to come up with awardwinning creative advertisements.

Etika Group vicepresident (mar keting) Santharuban T. Sundaram said it was honoured by the recognition.

“This is not the first time Etika Beverages has worked on such groundbreaking, firstofitskind initiatives with The Star.

“Our collaboration and joint efforts in exploring new ways to market and create engagement in print has always delivered results and we are again humbled by this success,” he added.

Marketing Magazine editor Rezwana Manjur, who presented the award to Star Media Group, said the event this year was bigger with 29 categories.

Entries were also received from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and India.

The Spark Awards recognises top media solutions, products and services from media owners and publishers across the region.
