Identifyin­g and monitoring hotspot schools by the Education Ministry and the police will enable the authoritie­s to take action to prevent gangsteris­m, drugs, bullying and other problems from escalating beyond control. Parents should appreciate these efforts and should not be alarmed when their children’s schools are put on the list of hotspots. – Thomas Foo

In its haste to be an educationa­l hub, the Government sacrificed quality for quantity. Colleges and universiti­es mushroomed all over. Student traffickin­g resulted. Wake up, Higher Education Ministry!

This is the most practical and costeffect­ive way to make school buildings more energy-efficient. Some suggest that up to 40% can be saved with reduction in cooling bills.
