The singer said she understood why the organiser had to drop her from the list.

She said her song Menatap Dalam Mimpi which was initially nominated this year, had been nominated at APM 2015, thus it would be unfair for it to be nominated again.

“Realising their mistake in nominating the song again this year, the organisers retracted my nomination.”

Siti said she was not disappointed as she did not have any new product launched before nominations closed on March 31.

“I hope my fans will understand,” she said.

However, her song with Faizal Tahir entitled Dirgahayu was nominated in the categories Duo/

Best Group and Best Song (Malaysia).
