> Tough tasks to tackle

The newly appointed IGP has the unenviable task of ridding the police force of all the black sheep, stepping up efforts against crime where snatch thefts, armed robbery and rape have become rampant, increasing momentum in solving pending cases like the disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh, stamping out police brutality on inmates and suspects, and restoring the credibility of the police force in the eyes of all Malaysians. – 5th Beatle

> Well chosen

Our motto for the 29th SEA Games, “Rise together”, was well chosen. It gave Malaysians the feel-good factor and brought everyone together for the games. Syabas to KJ and team, including the police. – PJ Gomes

> Irregular pricing

I travel from Klang Central to Pasir Gudang (PG) terminal week in, week out. I’m wondering why the fare from Klang to PG is RM50 whereas the return journey is only RM40. > Show no mercy

Confiscate their motorcycles and revoke their licence for five years. This will stop the Mat Rempit problem. – Murali Sundareson

> Go easy on graduates

Give fresh graduates a break, especially those working in accounts, finance and audit departments. They work late and most don’t get overtime allowance. And employers wonder why they quit!

> Learn English

Miscommunication in the Singaporean accident case exposed the flaws in our education system. How can we attract foreign visitors when our hospital emergency units cannot converse in simple English? When will we learn that knowing English is paramount if we want to be world class?
