ACTRESS Nabila Huda has successfully completed a trek in the Himalayas despite having no training before beginning the journey, reported Harian Metro.

She arrived at the Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal several days ago and spent the night there before continuing the next day.

“I arrived in the evening. I had no injuries except for leg cramps after climbing some steep stone stairs.

“The pain was worth it and I am very satisfied with my achievement,” she said.

The actress planned the trek last year and the entire journey, including her flight tickets, was managed by the Nepal Embassy.

“I did not do any training beforehand and this is my first trekking expedition.

“I was not paid for the trip but I am lucky to have a team that filmed my journey,” she said.

Nabila hoped her experience would inspire other women to try something new and adventurous.

“While trekking, all our worries disappear especially after we see the spectacular views,” she said.

> While most riders prefer dark colours and strong themes for their motorbikes, Mohd Nor Osman is turning heads in Pontian, Johor, with his bubblegum pink Malaysianmade Demak.

Sinar Harian reported that Mohd Nor, 62, spent nearly RM5,000 to modify and repaint the bike, which has buffalo horns on the back and front.

“I don’t think anyone else has done this. This is my idea,” he said.

Mohd Nor said he won the bike at a vintage motorcycle competition in Batu Pahat five years ago and rides it everywhere.

A photograph of Mohd Nor, dressed in bub- blegum pink and riding his beloved bike, went viral recently and he said a few people had even stopped their cars to take pictures of him and his machine.

An avid vintage motorcycle collector, Mohd Nor said he added the Jalur Gemilang to his bike for the National Day celebrations.

On top of that, he would wear a custommade Jalur Gemilang themed outfit and ride around Pontian town on Aug 31 every year.
