> Fire safety for kids
Children, especially those living in high-rise buildings, must be taught how to escape in case of a fire. Children must also know the rules of electrical safety. And stop using electrical appliances which do not meet safety standards. – Marde K
> Early warning needed
Every time we have a huge storm, our “storm warnings” only come after the storm has landed. Why can’t we be warned about it earlier? Are we still living in the 60s? – Jack
> Start at school
If Malaysia wants to be world class in the beautiful game of football, we have to start developing the talents in school. Look at South Korea. At one time, they were our equal in football. Since then, they have taken part in the Olympic Games and the World Cup but we are almost at bottom in the world ranking. – Johorapi
> Other way around
Recently received a letter from the Inland Revenue Board that said they would be contacting us within three months to follow up on our taxes. It also said that if we were not contacted within the stipulated time, we should get in touch with them. I think that’s not reasonable. If they are not free to contact us in the next three months, they can always contact us anytime after that. Why do they want to set the time frame? – Low
> Price hike expected
Once again, the price of fuel has gone up. Will we be facing hikes in prices of food and services soon? – Izzad
> Keep it as it is

> Golden touch
Malaysia Airlines should regain its shine as a premium airline with profitable and popular routes around the world. Bring back its golden touch of Malaysian hospitality, good choices of meals and drinks including satay and nasi lemak, good movies, and comfortable leg room. The airline’s punctuality and the ringgit’s exchange rate should give travellers value for money. – Karen & friends
> Educating children
Our education system must not be based on rote learning. It must focus on helping children to think outside the box. As children are naturally creative, teachers and parents must try to encourage their talents to grow. - Sze Loong Steve Ngeow
> Just ignore them
Customers need not ask traders why they are not displaying price tags. Just stop buying from them. – Simple Person
> Sign of the times
Many people are saying GST and the weak ringgit contribute to the high cost of living. Salary for locals has not increased in line with inflation and the high cost of living. People have to tighten their belts or go moonlighting. Only the rich do not feel the pinch.
