Audi quattro Cup returns with a touch of class and charity at heart
THE Malaysian chapter of the Audi quattro Cup returns this year with a bigger and better event on the cards, and also for a good cause.
The tournament, to be held at the Mines Resort & Golf Club, on Nov 2, will again feature a Greensome Stableford format and all participants must be current Audi owners.
The Audi quattro Cup Drive Day tournament has been scheduled for Nov 4 and 5, and will for the first time be open to members of the public.
More than just a golf tournament, the RM380 registration fee from each player will be donated to the #derSchnurrbart (German for “the Moustache”) initiative, a men’s health awareness campaign that is run by the National Cancer Council Malaysia in partnership with Audi Malaysia.
Audi Malaysia sales director Sridheevan (Dave) Sivanantham said: “Much like the legendary all-wheel drive system that inspires its name, the Audi quattro Cup is all about precision, power and the enjoyment of driving.
“This year’s tournament goes a step further by mobilising both our Audi owners and members of the public to get out on the golf course for a good cause.”
The winner of the Audi ownersinvitation tournament will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Quivira Golf Club in Los Cabos to represent Malaysia at the Audi quattro Cup World Finals from Dec 1 to 5, while the top golfers of the Audi quattro Cup Drive Day stand to win awesome prizes from Audi and participating sponsors.
The sponsors include Maybank, Leica, Qatar Airways, TaylorMade, Hugo Boss and Kiehl.
Among the world’s largest amateur golf tournaments, the Audi quattro Cup has long been a highlight and privilege of Audi owners. Since its inception in 1996, it has grown from 6,000 participants to more than 100,000 players worldwide in 2016.
In Malaysia, the Audi quattro Cup offers four new Audi vehicles as hole-in-one prizes.
