Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu will be back in the Super League next season.

The City side and the Turtles have finished as the top two sides in the 12-team Premier League this season. Both teams have unassailable leads, having picked up 47 points each with one more match to go.

Negri Sembilan, who showed plenty of promise early in the season, are third with 41 points – one ahead of Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP).

PKNP have 40 points, but with a game in hand. They will travel to the Darul Makmur Stadium to face Kuantan today.

Kuala Lumpur, who will be making their return to the top flight after a five-year absence, defeated Sabah 2-0 in their penultimate fixture at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium yesterday.

Brazilian striker Guilherme De Paula (pic) was the hero – scoring a brace in the 14th and 55th minutes.

Terengganu, under coach Irfan Bakti, are back in the top flight after only one season in the Premier League. The east coast side defeated Police 3-0 at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka, with goals from Faiz Nasir (19th), Tchetche Kipre ( 35th) and Issey Nakajima (58th).

While the promotion race has been decided, the relegation battle is set to go down to the wire.

Three teams are living dangerously. Perlis have 12 points while Malaysian Indian Sports CouncilMalaysian Indian Football Association (MISC-MIFA) and Armed Forces have 11 points each.

JDT II thrashed Perlis 5-1 at the Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar while MISC-MIFA and Armed Forces drew 1-1 at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam yesterday.

The teams will only know their fate in a month’s time as the last round of matches will be held on Oct 27, with Armed Forces playing Perlis at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka and MISC-MIFA taking on Police at the UiTM Stadium.
