SIC chief to fans: Come out in full force this weekend

-

TO all Malaysian motorsport fans who have yet to watch the Formula 1 race at Sepang International Circuit, this is your last chance to catch the action live.

Sepang International Circuit chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali has urged local fans not to miss the opportunity to catch the final edition of the Petronas Malaysia Formula 1 Grand Prix this weekend.

“For those who have not been to the track since the first race here in 1999, this is the time to come and watch it.

“We have reduced the grandstand ticket prices by 80%, with the lowest costing slightly more than RM300.

“I believe you cannot buy a Formula 1 ticket at this price anywhere else.

“People have complained in the past that the price was beyond their reach.

“Now we have made it really affordable and I hope the local fans will come out in full force to feel the thrill for themselves,” said Razlan, who added that many activities have also been planned for the final race.

SIC are hoping to secure an attendance of 100,000 for the three-day event.

Fans will be treated to a celebration of the 19 years the sport has been held in Malaysia with a showcase of the cars through the years.

The F1 Fan Zone, which has been the circuit’s attraction over the years, will be bigger and better with exciting activities in store.

SIC are collaborating with the Royal Military Air Force for a special tribute to the Malaysia Grand Prix F1NALE on race day. It’s one air-show that is not to be missed.

Race fans will also get to experience the behindthe-scenes with the pit lane walk and get up close and personal with the drivers through the drivers’ introduction parade, fan forum and autograph sessions.
