KUALA LUMPUR: Despite it being a weekday, visitors flocked to the Perfect Livin ’17 home and lifestyle exhibition as early as 10am.

The four-day exhibition at Putra World Trade Centre here attracted young couples, families and lone visitors who were on the hunt for best bargains.

Housewife Iylia Qaweem, 30, and her husband Ahmad Azmizi Abd Aziz, 36, brought along their two-year-old child to shop for home furnishings.

“We just bought a house in Setia Alam and we plan to buy dining tables, fans, lamps and the whole works. Everything can be found here,” said Iylia.

Ahmad Azmizi, a pilot, said they hoped to purchase everything they need for their new home on the first day of the exhibition.

“We plan to start renovation in early October so we have to finish shopping quickly,” said Iylia, who has visited the exhibition several times in the past.

Housewife Susan Bong, 54, was shopping for furniture such as dining chairs for her home in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

“It’s easier for me to do my shopping here and courier the items back to Kota Kinabalu as there are many choices at this exhibition,” said Susan, who found out about the event from The Star.

Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd brand manager (light commercial vehicle division) Chua Siang Cher said the carmaker decided to come onboard as the main sponsor for Perfect Livin as both shared a similar client base.

“Our customers are usually those in the housing or home improvement business such as electricians and developers,” he said.

Visitors can view the latest Isuzu Mu-X on display as well as enjoy a RM6,000 discount for Isuzu D-Max, which retails at RM127,000, said Chua.

Signature Kitchen is Perfect Livin’s main kitchen and living exhibitor.
