‘Best practice’ recognition for two schools
MALAYSIA’s Sri Emas and Dwi Emas Internationals Schools have been listed as Best Practice Pioneers by Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU), as part of the digital launch of Innovation 800.
This new publication highlights some of the most forward-thinking institutions worldwide, while telling the story of 800 years of innovative thinking from one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Group CEO and founder Anne Tham said: “Sri Emas and Dwi Emas are proud to be featured by CUSU as one of the Best Practice Pioneers.”
“We’ve always believed in making a positive change in the lives of our students through our education, and getting recognised by organisations such as CUSU are a great indicator that we are doing things right,” she added.
Both schools are renowned for their unique approach to education: Class rankings and streaming have been eliminated in favour of a culture of community and learning in non-traditional settings, celebrating all students’ successes.
In turn, students take real ownership and are engaged in their own learning, because they want to learn, rather than being forced to.
CUSU’s acknowledgement puts the two international schools in the Klang Valley in good company, with among others, the American Institute of Monterrey (Mexico), the International School Munich (Germany), and the International School The Hague (Netherlands).
