Cat reunited with boy after being stuck in tree for days

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy was left sleepless and crying for days after his pet cat got stuck in a tree, reported Sinar Harian.

Shamsudin Mat, 43, said his son’s cat Boboy could not come down from the five-metre tree after it climbed up there last Wednesday.

“I think it hid in the tree after a fight with the neighbourhood cats.

“I tried to coax the cat down but it wouldn’t budge.

“When I climbed the tree to bring him down, Boboy climbed even higher,” he said.

After several days, they decided to call in the Tanjong Karang Fire and Rescue Department.

It took six firemen about 10 minutes to bring Boboy down.

The moment it was on the ground, Boboy rushed into the house looking for Zikry.

Shamsudin said Zikry woke up when Boboy sat close to him, and he hugged the cat.

Abdul Rahman Ahmad, 66, tried to pull out his wife Taharah Che Ismail, 63. He told her to hold on to a pipe inside the well while he went to get help from the neighbours.

“With their help, we rescued Taharah using rope and ladder.

“We took almost an hour to get her out,” said Abdul Rahman.
