‘Abang Long Fadil 2’ breaks box office
Film earned RM17.9mil in 39 days
ABANG Long Fadil 2 has become the highest-grossing Malaysian film to date, earning RM17.9mil in 39 days, Sinar Harian reported.
The previous record holder was Polis Evo, which grossed RM17.8mil in 2015.
Director Syafiq Yusof said he did not expect the movie to be such a huge success, and is now considering another sequel.
He also said he may retain certain cast members for the third instalment of the series.
The film’s cast includes Zizan Razak, Syamsul Yusof, Datuk AC Mizal, Wak Doyok and Achey (Bocey).
“I am thinking of making a trilogy, but that will not happen anytime soon. For now, I’m busy working on KL Special Force, which is expected to hit cinemas at the end of this year or early next year.”
> The daily also reported that a 27-yearold entrepreneur has opened a beauty salon for Muslim women in Kampung Sungai Lang, Selangor.
“The salon has attracted women in this area who not only want beauty treatments but also to protect their modesty,” Nurazianti Mohd Yusof said.
The mother of two also said she took over the business from her previous employer.
“I was working here for about seven years, which is why I had the confidence to take over the business,” she said.
“I am grateful to my previous employer for guiding me. I advertised through Facebook and even managed to attract customers from the Klang Valley!”
> Harian Metro reported that Malaysianborn actor Miller Khan, who is now based in Jakarta, is seeing 20-year-old Nathalie Stephens whom he met through Instagram.
“We have been dating for five months. When I came across her Instagram account, I sent her a direct message. We became friends and then fell in love.”
