Selangor stay on track after win over Terengganu

PETALING JAYA: Selangor are on course to lift the President’s Cup (Under-21) title.

Midfielder Syahmi Safari played a pivotal role in guiding the Red Giants to a 2-0 win over Terengganu in the first leg of the final at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium yesterday.

Badrul Amin Rusalan drew first blood in the 15th minute before Syahmi doubled it in the 27th minute to give Selangor a comfortable two-goal cushion for the return leg at the Sultan Ismail Stadium in Kuala Terengganu on Oct 20.
