PETALING JAYA: When she read the email notifying her that she had won an Aigner bag, Annie Wong Pei Ngo (pic) ran around her house and screamed in excitement.

“I love bags very much. I was so happy. I couldn’t sleep the night I found out I was a winner,” said the 54-year-old mother of two from Shah Alam. She is the second winner of The Star’s Bag That Bag contest.

According to Wong, she has been reading the newspaper for more than 20 years. Her husband started buying a copy every day when her children were still in school.

“My kids attend Chinese schools. I wanted them to read The Star to improve their English. Now, we subscribe. It has become a routine for me to read the print version every morning,” said Wong, a homemaker.

“I like to flip through the pages during breakfast. It’s very important for me. So I always make sure that the newspaper is delivered on time to me every morning at 6am.

“I may not be young anymore, but I still appreciate fashion. I read the fashion pages on Wednesdays,” she added.

Wong, who was accompanied by her hus- band, received her prize at Menara Star yesterday.

The Star’s Bag That Bag contest is giving readers a chance to win a designer handbag each week in October. There are also flight tickets to be won every Saturday of the month.

A Coach Page Crossbody bag worth RM2,550 is currently up for grabs. Just visit star2.com and search for the article “Do you have the right fashion attitude for the streets?” to get entry details.
