Woman forces her girls, aged eight and 10, to have sex with Bangladeshi men for RM50
A woman staying in this Senai shophouse forced her two young daughters to have sex for RM50 a session.
JOHOR BARU: Two half-sisters, aged eight and 10 years, were allegedly sold as prostitutes to Bangladeshi men for RM50 a session by their mother.
The “monster mother” is said to have forced her daughters into having sex with three Bangladeshi men, one of whom is believed to be her lover of eight years.
It is learnt that the 39-year-old unemployed woman and her daughters, who are from her fourth and fifth marriages, stayed in one of six rooms at a two-storey commercial lot in Taman Bintang in Senai.
The sexual acts, however, were carried out at a budget hotel in Larkin Perdana here, about 30km from where they stayed.
A neighbour, who wanted to be known only as Malar, 38, said the family was “rather reserved” and seldom came back to their room since moving in two months ago.
“Before this, they had been renting a room downstairs – at the back of a barber shop – for a year, so we were not familiar with her.
“Her elder daughter took the same school bus as my daughter but she has not been going to school for almost three months now,” she told The Star.
Malar, who has been living there for the past year, added that the younger child appeared to be a slow learner.
“The girl barely speaks and doesn’t go to school,” she added.
She said she didn’t sense any suspicious goings-on and thought that a Bangladeshi, who would occasionally stay over, was the woman’s husband.
The landlord, who also runs the barber shop, said he had not been able to see the mother for the past few days.
He wanted to collect two months’ rent from her.
“She stayed downstairs with her two kids before moving upstairs. And, we have had no problem with the rent for the past one-and-a-half years until two months ago,” he said.
The woman, he added, was believed to be a factory worker but lost her job a few months ago.
State police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said investigations revealed that the mother would take the girls to the hotel every Friday for the past month.
“We detained the mother on Oct 25 in Taman Bintang in Senai following a tip-off,” he told reporters after attending the presentation of certificates on cable theft prevention at Grand Paragon Hotel here yesterday.
The case is being investigated under Section 372 of the Penal Code for soliciting and Section 376 for rape.
Police are also investigating the case under Section 14 of the AntiTrafficking in Persons and AntiSmuggling of Migrants (Atipsom) Act 2007, he said.
“We are looking for the three Bangladeshi men,” said Comm Mohd Khalil and called on anyone who had information to assist police in their investigations.
Meanwhile, State Welfare Department director Datuk Daud Arbah said the girls, who have been warded at Sultanah Aminah Hospital since Oct 25, will be put under the care of Pusat Perlindungan Kanak-Kanak here.
“The two victims will be referred to us once they have completed their check-ups.
“We will look after them for at least one month while investigations are carried out under Section 19(1) of the Child Act,” he said when contacted.
Johor Women and Family Affairs Committee chairman Asiah Ariff said she would look into the case.
