Nikki Palikat not bowing out any time soon
SINGER-ACTRESS Nikki Palikat ( pic) is still active in showbiz despite rumours she had retired after having a child, Sinar Harian reported.
The former Malaysian Idol contestant landed roles in the telenovela Dendam Aurora and Tribute untuk Sudirman: One Thousand Million Smiles at KLPac last week.
According to Nikki, whose real name is Nicolette Louisa Palikat, she took a break after giving birth to her son, Liam Mok.
“The break was just for two years, but during my break, there were many changes in the industry.
“So I need to start again, regain the trust of fans and various parties to start working on projects,” she said, adding that she plans to release a new single in the near future.

The cat hotel’s premium facilities include rooms with beds, a playground and a special toilet.
The cats are also fed premium meals three times a day and enjoy cleaning and play sessions by the hotel staff.
The hotel is also equipped with security cameras streamed live for the owners to view.
Muhammad said there are plans to open more branches in the Klang Valley, Johor, Melaka and Negri Sembilan.

Kamarul Baihaqi, or Aqi as he is known, is seven years old, and has been involved in wayang kulit performances for nearly five years.
Aqi could handle up to seven wayang kulit puppets at a time during a children’s training programme organised by Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (Aswara), a commendable feat for his age.
“I’ve always been interested in wayang kulit, and practise with my father on weekends,” he said.
