Scha seeks to use fame for charity

ACTRESS Scha Alyahya, whose real name is Sharifah Nor Azean Syed Mahadzir Alyahya ( pic), wants to use her influence as a celebrity to help others, Sinar Harian reported.

“As a celebrity, it is important to raise awareness of important issues and to influence others to do good,” she said. Scha Alyahya was the ambassador for the World Hunger Relief campaign in 2015 and she was recently involved in a Discover Hong Kong tourism campaign with her husband and daughter.

For the actress, her daughter Lara Alana motivates her to be a good role model in facing challenges.

“This may sound clichéd, but Lara has made me a stronger and more positive person. I don’t have to see things in a negative light,” said Scha Alyahya, who is trying for a second child,

According to DSP Azli, the victim and his wife are both Indonesians, while the suspect is a local who had an affair with the woman.

“The suspect is believed to have met with the victim to persuade him not to take his wife back to Indonesia,” said DSP Azli.
