> Exemplary behaviour

I praise the three Rela members who refused to accept RM10,000 each to withdraw their report after the incident with the Datuk Seri, for their honesty. If all of our public sector staff emulate them, our country would be free of corruption. – Devan Batu Caves

> Scary situation

We often hear of hate preachers. Singapore has taken the right step in barring the entry of two such preachers. What is scary is that even with their extreme and divisive preaching, they have managed to garner a following.

> It’s just not fair

Workers in government agencies that were privatised are receiving pensions way below the poverty rate now. The argument back then was they would contribute to EPF as employees in the private sector. However, with the years of service left, that amount is negligible. These people should be given the minimum RM1,000 pension as it was not their fault that their workplace was privatised.

I was in my 22nd year of service when I was asked to opt out because of corporatisation in 1994 under Dr Mahathir. Is it fair to deprive people like me of the minimum pension since it was not our fault? – Prihatin lah sikit!

> Dishonouring the title

The relevant authorities should not confer titles on young adults as they may not be mature enough to appreciate the dignity of these titles. A case in point – the 29-year-old Datuk Seri who allegedly assaulted three Rela members because he felt they did not respect him. – Tak gila lah

It is two strikes and counting for the young Datuk Seri who is alleged to have severely assaulted Rela personnel who reportedly did not give him “sufficient respect” at a parking space. The shenanigans of several title holders have devalued these honours. Such individuals who indulge in common thuggery and illegal activities should be stripped of their titles immediately. – Beatle No. 5

Datuks who have no respect for the law and behave arrogantly should be stripped of their honorific title.

> Smart and green

A smart city must be intelligent and green. So it must have off-grid green power for e-vehicles and intelligent ICT. – Prof (B)

> Komtar revival

Komtar is deserted by 7.30pm. Shops should remain open until at least 9pm otherwise efforts to revive business there will not succeed.

> Parks maintenance

All sports facilities in community parks should be well maintained for youngsters to use during their free time and holidays. – Joe
