Raid uncovers teen addicts, broken families

A WOMAN and her two children were among four people caught taking drugs at a rented house in Kangar, Perlis, when authorities raided the place, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

Officers from the National Anti-Drugs Agency raided the house during an operation on Monday.

State agency director Azizah Ahmad said the 40-year-old woman – a single mother – was caught taking drugs together with her two children, aged 18 and 19.

She said the woman became an addict after her divorce 10 years ago and also due to peer pressure.

Another single mother was also caught in the raid, said Azizah, adding that the 22-year- old woman had been taking drugs since she was 13, and has two children, aged three and 10 months.

Selina, who divorced last year, was seen enjoying the outing with Hebe Tien and Ella Chen during her birthday on Oct 31.

Selina was quoted as saying: “I am happy this year! Thanks for all the wishes, I love all of you!”

The daily also reported that despite leading busy lives, members of the group would always take time off to celebrate auspicious occasions together.
