University in Shah Alam debuts in Asian rankings
MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) has made its entry for the first time into the QS Asia University Rankings.
The university is at 217th in the 2018 edition of the rankings, placing it among the top 1.8% in Asia.
The accolade not only jives with the university’s aspiration for global prominence on the rankings rung, but also celebrates the university’s commitment to excellence in higher education.
MSU, located in Shah Alam, Selangor, will continue working hard to create a global impact, transform lives and enrich the future of its students.
Earlier this year, the university had received a QS Rating of Five Stars for teaching, facilities, graduate employability, social responsibility, and inclusiveness.
The QS World Universities Rankings, involving over 70,000 academics and 44,000 employers, are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry, and governments alike for its comprehensiveness and balance.
The annual ranking of world universities by the Londonbased higher education analyst and career consultancy QS or Quacquarelli Symonds is based on carefully calibrated performance indicators including teaching, graduate employability, internationalisation, and research.
The QS Asia Ranking 2018 used the same World Universities Ranking performance indicators but with recalibrated weightings that reflect Asian priorities.
The university has also been named the Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016 by the Higher Education Ministry, and accorded the Best Brand in Education 2016 by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation.
