Expo Negaraku pre­pares special sou­venirs for first 100 vis­i­tors

KUALA LUMPUR: If you hap­pen to be near Dataran Merdeka to­day, do drop by at the Expo Negaraku 2017.

You might be one of the lucky vis­i­tors to walk away with sur­prise sou­venirs.

The expo will be show­cas­ing all the present and fu­ture ma­jor in­fra­struc­ture.

Min­is­ter in the Prime Min­is­ter’s Depart­ment Datuk Seri Ab­dul Rah­man Dahlan said the expo is the first of its kind and the big­gest con­sists of five huge domes and will be an in­ter­ac­tive, in­for­ma­tive type.

The pub­lic can view closely and in­ter­ac­tively the MyHSR, Trans Bor­neo High­way and the MRT Corp line projects.

“The idea was in­spired by Prime Min­is­ter Datuk Seri Na­jib Tun Razak. We ex­pect many vis­i­tors be­fore it closes on Dec 15.

“The idea was mooted five months ago and con­struc­tion on the domes started on Oct 15,” he told re­porters af­ter a me­dia pre­view of the expo here yes­ter­day. Ad­mis­sion is free.

Ab­dul Rah­man said apart from the sur­prise sou­venirs for the lucky first 100 vis­i­tors, there would also be per­for­mance by lo­cal artistes such as Faizal Tahir, Rich Es­tranged and Is­mail Iz­zani, among oth­ers.

There will also be light shows, food trucks, zumba, futsal and go-kart ac­tiv­i­ties dur­ing the week­ends.
