Vivian Hsu won’t stop singing anytime soon

-

TAIWANESE singer Vivian Hsu, who is in her early 40s, said she will continue to work until she is 70, Oriental Daily reported.

“I think women should have their own career. The satisfaction of having your career is a different source of happiness compared to affirmation from your husband and children,” she said.

On rumours she has to work harder to help her husband, Singapore-based businessman Sean Lee, who is said to be facing financial difficulties, Hsu said she was not involved in her husband’s business and would not answer on his behalf.

It was reported that Hsu had returned to Taiwan to shoot four advertisements to bail out Lee, who is the chief executive of marine logis- tics group Marco Polo Marine Ltd.

> The price of Musang King durian has reached RM800 per kg as it is very much sought-after overseas, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Negri Sembilan Agriculture Department director Mat Iesak Ngathinee said the Musang King from Malaysia was exported overseas causing the price to skyrocket.

He said Musang King durians have a huge market locally and overseas, therefore local farmers were encouraged to grow more of this variety.

Mat Iesak also said the department has been actively looking for farmers who are interested in planting Musang King.

“Those who are interested can contact the officers at the district-level offices,” he said.
