Starting them young on charitable acts

A GROUP of children aged between seven and 15 washed cars to raise funds for the education of underprivi­leged children, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The Wash & Give Back Charity Car Wash in Kuala Lumpur, an annual programme by charitable organisati­on VshareVcar­e, saw about 250 volunteers including the children from 60 families and 25 students from Universiti Malaya taking part.

The event raised RM3,000 for 70 children from The Pure Life Society.

VshareVcar­e project director Andy Wong thanked the public for their support.

It was learnt the boy went out and only came home to his mother because he was hungry.

The woman got angry and allegedly pushed him on the floor before stomping on him.

The boy has been staying with a relative since the incident.
