Nabila Huda adds comedy to her repertoire

-

ACTRESS Nabila Huda (pic) is ready to take on comedic roles, Utusan Malaysia reported.

In her 16 years of acting, she has usually played dramatic and serious roles. However, her role in the comedy film Rempit Sampai Langit shows that she is ready to expand her range.

“I didn’t think I would be acting in a comedy. When I got the offer, I told the director (Silver Chung) to find another actress,” she said.

“But he persuaded me, saying my character doesn’t have to be funny,” said Nabila Huda, who plays the character Comel in the film.

Not seeing herself as a funny person, she previously declined come dic roles that were offered to her.

“People may say that I’m versatile but when I’m surrounded by comedians, I don’t feel qualified (as a comedic actress),” she said.
