JOHOR BARU: Two police reports have been lodged on the classified documents leaked online about the land scandal that made the headlines in March, says state police deputy chief Dept Comm Datuk Mohd Kamarudin Md Din.

He said so far only Senai assem- blyman Wong Shu Qi has been contacted to assist investigations.

“The case is being investigated by Bukit Aman’s Classified Crime Investigation Unit and the assemblyman has been contacted to record her statement,” he said after launching the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) stickers and handing over of motorcycles for police patrol units here.

He added that police wanted to get to the bottom of the case.

Wong said she would meet with the police on Friday.

On Nov 27, Wong questioned the authenticity of several documents and information uploaded online, which implicated Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin in the property scandal.

The following day, Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner Datuk Azam Baki said that a police report would be lodged on the leak.

At yesterday’s event, DCP Mohd Kamarudin urged the public to register to become a member of the VSP programme and channel complains to police.

“Some 93,935 people have registered under the Johor contingent between March 25 and Dec 5 and we have received 3,485 complaints via the system.

“We hope that more will use this platform to send information to us by a simple text, photo or video.

“Say for an example, you spot a motorcyclist riding without helmet, all you have to do is it take a clear photo or video and send it to us,” he added.
