Yet another sibling comes firing at Azmin

-

CONTROVERSIAL celebrity Azwan Ali has turned up at the Umno general assembly 2017 to denounce his own brother – Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

Azwan, who is Azmin’s younger sibling, said he had kept his anger in check for over five years and lost confidence over his brother’s leadership.

He said he would not hesitate to reveal his brother’s secrets.

“I have kept Azmin’s secrets and Insya-Allah (God willing), I will expose them one by one,” he said.

Clad in a bright red robe and dark glasses, Azwan turned heads when he appeared at the Putra World Trade Centre.

Azwan claimed he was humiliated and lost many job offers when he publicly supported his brother.

“Many television stations banned me when they saw that I stood behind him,” he said, pledging to work together with Sg Besar Umno chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos and campaign for him for the Bukit Antarabangsa seat.

He is now the second sibling to have a public spat with Azmin after their sister Ummi Hafilda had openly criticised Azmin.

On another matter, a tweet by jazz singer Datuk Sheila Majid about the rising costs of living had drawn a response from Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

The Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club portal reported Annuar as saying that much of what Sheila said was not true.

“A lot of it is wrong. This is not her field,” he said.

However, he said he respected the views and responses of the people and would take a positive attitude towards it.

On Tuesday, Sheila tweeted her disappointment about the rising cost of living.

“Food is expensive, ringgit is weak, cost of living is high and jobs are scarce,” read part of her tweet.

She also said that many wanted the country to get back on track.
