Anggun and Fazura team up for something Good

-

INTERNATIONAL megastar Anggun Cipta Sasmi or Anggun will perform a duet with local singer Fazura for her eighth album “The Good Is Back”

Kosmo! reported that the album has 12 tracks with songs like What We Remember, No Promises, Oceans, Thank You, Inhuman and Alive.

Anggun said she wanted something different from what she had done in the past.

The singer, who’s popular with the hit song Snow On The Sahara, added that she did not know Fazura except that she had seen her performances.

“The last time I came to Malaysia was to participate in Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza’s concert years ago,” she told reporters here recently.

The 43-year-old singer said she shared a lot in common with Fazura and wanted to know her better.

Fazura said she wanted the collaboration to be a success and for it to be a major paradigm shift in her career.

“Everyone knows Anggun’s credibility and I am quite worried I will not measure up to her standards,” said Fazura.

“And, since she has confidence in me, I will work hard towards making the venture a success.”

> Kosmo! also reported that a rice farmer organised for five of his children to be married at one go on Sunday. The event attracted more than 10,000 guests in Mentalun, Perlis.

Father- of- seven Tayib Zakaria, 55, took three months to plan the mass wedding for his three sons and two daughters.

One of Tayib’s children married earlier while one is still in Form Four.

“I am very happy that this could be pulled off, otherwise it will be tiring. I am sure not many parents can do this. I am the happiest father alive,” he said.

> A couple in Jeli, Kelantan, had the scare of their lives when what they thought was a cow grazing on their land turned out to be an elephant, Harian Metro reported.

Zakaria Yusoff, 48, and Norhayati Zakaria, 44, were awakened at 1am on Sunday by loud sounds of something big and heavy thumping on their land.

“We woke up and thought it was a cow grazing,” said Nohayati, who found traces of elephant dung and footsteps on their land. It had felled a coconut tree.

District Wildlife and National parks officer Mohd Ismail Awang said rangers were trying to locate the elephant.

He advised residents not to confront the pachyderm as it was hungry.
