-

POLICE arrested a man believed to have raped his 15-year-old stepdaughter multiple times since she was nine, reported Utusan Malaysia.

The arrest was carried out at a row of shops in Jalan Tanjung Batu in Bintulu on Dec 24.

Bintulu OCPD Supt Zulkipli Suhaili said the foreign suspect, 46, did not have any identification on him when detained.

“The victim said her stepfather began having sex with her when she was nine,” said Supt Zulkipli.

The arrest was made after the 15-year-old gave birth to a baby boy last Friday in their house toilet in Tanjung Kidurong.

She wrapped and dumped the infant in a rubbish bin outside the house.

However, the victim’s older stepsister discovered what happened when she found the victim bleeding and brought her to the hospital.

Supt Zulkipli said the suspect, a construction worker, would be investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape and, if found guilty, could be jailed up to 20 years as well as getting the rotan.
