Parties galore to choose from and ring in the New Year

PETALING JAYA: Klang Valley folks will be spoilt for choice if they want to join in the New Year’s countdown – there are many spots holding special events tomorrow night.

Those looking forward to seeing some fireworks can head to KLCC Park to see a 10-minute musical fireworks display as the clock strikes midnight.

Those who want a bird’s eye view of the New Year Eve fireworks can head to several rooftop clubs and restaurant­s in the city where they can have a drink or meal while waiting to view the fireworks in its full glory.

Sunway Lagoon will host Neon Countdown, an electronic music festival featuring various performers starting from 5pm.

Folks in Shah Alam looking to view fireworks at the stroke of midnight can head to i-City Theme Park for its Spectacula­r Fireworks display while those in Putrajaya are urged to be at Dataran Putrajaya in Presint 3 for the Festival Light And Motion Putrajaya (Lampu) 2017.

Local songstress Adibah Noor will perform at Citta Mall in Ara Damansara to usher in the New Year.

In Penang, numerous exciting celebratio­ns are in store for revellers.

The celebratio­n at the Straits Quay Retail Marina promenade in Tanjung Tokong starts at 8pm.

Exhilarati­ng dance performanc­es such as LED Brazilian Samba, Futuristic Mirror dance, Laser Board dance and live band will entertain the crowd throughout the night before the fireworks display.

Street dance performanc­es, a zumba party and hotspot DJ spinning on the deck would keep guests entertaine­d all night at the outdoor carpark at Queensbay Mall.
