Dr Vida: Being flirtatious is just who I am

-

DATUK Seri Dr Hasmizah Othman ( pic), famously known as Dr Vida, told Sinar Harian that she will not cease her “coquettish” ways.

“This is who I am. I am me, I cannot pretend,” said the cosmetics millionaire when asked about attention-seeking individuals on social media.

“Netizens don’t criticise the videos I make, only my coquettish actions,” she said, adding that her flirtatiousness was not a ploy to increase sales of her products.

“Some people say I show off my wealth on Instagram and Facebook. But I think they need to look at the positive side,” said Dr Vida.

She added that she preferred posting videos on social media as it made her feel closer to her audience and followers.

> The same daily also reported that a child dressed up as horror film character Annabelle shocked visitors at Teluk Cempedak beach in Kuantan.

Nine-year-old Nurdiana Syafiqah Mohd Rostam brought the possessed doll to life, thanks to the creativity of her mother Norulhuda Md Daud.

Norulhuda said her daughter chose the character and that the usually shy girl changed her demeanour when she was in costume.

“(Visitors to the beach) were excited when they saw her in character and wanted to take pictures with her,” she added.

She said Nurdiana’s cosplay hobby helped her stay positive in spite of her chronic asthma.

> A worker in Johor Baru allegedly violated food safety standards by packing meat on the floor, Kosmo! reported.

The Johor Consumer Movement Association (PPPJ) discovered the worker’s actions near the fresh food rack at a market in Taman Suria.

“Chicken, squid and prawns were placed on the floor before being packaged and sold,” said PPPJ monitoring chairman Salleh Sadijo.

He said PPPJ had filed a complaint with the Johor Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry.
