‘What is my career’ test a hit with visitors

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The career test at the Star Education Fair 2018 proved to be a hit among visitors.

Provided by CareerSense@Help, the Career and Guidance and Testing Centre of HELP University, the test had nearly 700 participants on the first day itself.

HELP University lecturer, counsellor, counselling supervisor and trainer Justin Yap said one of the most frequently asked questions from students was how to make a career decision.

Many students wanted to know whether they should follow their interests, or opt for job security and financial needs, said Yap.

“You need to know yourself to be able to decide what is good for you,” he said, noting that career tests can help students categorise their interests.

He said the suitable age to take a career test was 17 years old.

“A 17-year-old is better placed to take the test compared to a 13-yearold because they would have experienced the world a bit more and would be able to make a decision,” he said.

One should also never stop discovering oneself, Yap added.

Quickly get yourself tested if you haven’t. The career test is only available at the Star Education Fair 2018 for one more day today.
