Enjoyable networking event at TPC Kuala Lumpur

-

A SMALL but close-knit event organised as a networking exercise by Asian conglomerate QI Group, was a huge success just as much as it was enjoyable.

Comprising senior members of the local media recently and representatives of the golf industry as a whole, as well as the company’s directors and senior management, the tournament was played at TPC Kuala Lumpur and saw P. Mohan emerge as the winner.

The 16-handicapper and golf consultant with a local retailer, won with 40 Stableford points. Aziz Hassan was second with 35 points and Zulkifli Othman third with 28.

Speaking at the event, the company’s executive chairman Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran said that this year marked their 20th anniversary and thanked “the media for their contributions to both QI and the nation. He made special mention of what he termed the Group’s “crown jewel in Malaysia – the Taarana School for Special Needs Children” and the Quest International University Perak, located in Ipoh. “It’s been a challenging, interesting and rewarding journey that we have come through over the past 20 years,” said Eswaran. “Today we have offices in more than 80 countries and are extremely proud to say that we are a Malaysian company.”

Primarily a direct selling company, QNET, a flagship subsidiary of QI Group and whose headquarters are in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, deals mostly in consumer goods, watches, health devices, travel, lifestyle and education.

Results: 1 P. Mohan (16) 40, 2 Aziz Hassan (14) 35, 3 Zulkifli Othman (18) 28, 4 Murali Nair (20) 27, 5 Mazuki Abdullah (20) 27.
