Jacky Cheung first Cantopop star to sign Wall of Fame

CANTOPOP superstar Jacky Cheung has become the first Chinese singer to sign his autograph on the Wall of Fame at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticu­t, the United States, China Press reported.

Other popular singers who have signed their autographs on the wall include Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Def Leppard and Lady Gaga.

Cheung has held three concerts at the venue as part of his ongoing Jacky Cheung: Classic Tour.

Fans travelled from as far as New York, Chicago, Boston and Washington to watch him perform.

It is the first humanoid robot capable of recognisin­g the principal human emotions and adapting its behaviour to the mood of the person speaking to it, according to its manufactur­er Softbank Robotics.

> The lion dance industry has been enjoying good business in recent years, China Press reported.

According to industry players, this year, lion dance troupes have been engaged to perform even before the Chinese New Year.

They said they were fully booked throughout the festive period.

On average, a lion dance troupe will perform at seven to eight events daily during the festive season.
