Fazura relates encounter with ‘pontianak’ on movie set

-

ACTRESS Fazura, who is playing the lead role in upcoming horror movie The Legend Of Pontianak, claims that she saw a pontianak (female vampire) while shooting the film, reported BH Hip, the entertainment pullout of Berita Harian.

The 34-year-old actress, whose full name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, said she was spooked by the sighting on the movie set in Hulu Langat, Selangor.

“I was eating with the other crew members and telling them a horror story. One of the crew told me to look behind, and I saw it with my own two eyes – a woman in a white kebaya, similar to what I was wearing,” said Fazura.

“Her hair was long and covered the face, but she was definitely facing me.”

Her co-star Remy Ishak also claims he was “disturbed” by the pontianak while on location.

“It was really scary. When I was filming, I had some sightings, but I tried to ignore it,” he said.

> A photograph of two kind-hearted women lending a helping hand to a foreigner and her daughter has gone viral on social media, Harian Metro reported.

“I really wanted to help the Russian woman who was walking under the hot sun while pushing a stroller with a child in it.

“We decided to give them a lift,” said Nur Hidayah Abdul Samat, 23, who was with her friend Nur Syazwani Rohizad.

The picture received heaps of praise and positive comments from netizens.

Nur Hidayah said she saw the woman, identified only as Anna, and her two-year old daughter Palina, when they were on their way home in Bagan Serai, Perak, after an interview at a hotel in Taiping at about 12.30pm on Saturday.

“We were near the Kamunting toll plaza when we saw the two of them. The mother was waving her hands, asking for help.

“At first, we could not stop but I asked Syazwani to turn back and help them. Anna told us they wanted to go to Butterworth and were hoping to catch a ride from anyone on the way there,” she said.

According to Anna, her mobile phone and personal belongings had been stolen and they only had biscuits and milk with them.

Nur Hidayah added that Anna was planning to catch a bus to Alor Setar from Butterworth to settle some family matters.

The posting urged Malaysians to give Anna and Palina help if they bumped into the two of them.
