It was not pole dancing, says Kilafairy
ACTRESS and singer Kilafairy (pic) denied doing pole dance moves in her new music video, Kosmo! reported.
The 26-year-old, whose real name is Syakila Nisa Jahangir Khan, said her dance routine was choreographed especially for the video.
“Lion Music Group, Paranormal Records and I looked at many dance styles before doing the choreography (for the video),” she told the daily.
Kilafairy’s dance accompaniment for Put The Word In was criticised by netizens, claiming that it was akin to pole dancing.
Some also claimed that the dance was “too sensual”.
She said the criticism was just based on the negative perspective of certain quarters.
“I am still a Malaysian. So, why would I dance too sensually?
“It does not make sense,” she said, adding that the dance merely followed the beat and groove of the song.
Put The Word In is a collaboration between Kilafairy, DJ Aku Ash and international singer-songwriter Sean Kingston.
It was composed by Bryan B, Radio3000, DJ Aku Ash and Kenny Hughes.
> The same daily also reported that an illegal entertainment centre in Kampung Pandan has been offering prizes such as a RM1.5mil Lamborghini Huracan to lure big spenders to the outlet.
Its “business tactic” was discovered during a 4am raid on Saturday as part of Ops BAH (Banteras Aktiviti Haram, or Eradicate Illegal Activities), an integrated inter-agency operation, at its premises.
Ops BAH head coordinator Azman Mahmood said the entertainment centre had been raking in as much as RM300,000 a day in profits or up to RM9mil a month, as it was frequented by businessmen and VIPs.
Azman said the centre charged between RM20,000 and RM50,000 a session, depending on the rooms that customers chose.
“We were shocked to find that this luxurious-looking centre has been raking in millions while operating without a licence,” he said, adding that the centre had been operating for five years.
He said it employed foreigners as waiters and guest relations officers.
