Big bikers to host charity tournament
A GROUP of Harley Davidson biker friends, who call themselves Cigaros MC, are organising an inaugural golf tournament known as the Bikers Invitational Charity Classic, which will be held at Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club in Nilai next Saturday.
Speaking on behalf of the organising committee of the event, Nik Azli said: “As the name goes, this is a golf event involving biker golfers who will play and raise funds for two charity homes, namely Rumah Pakats and PJ Caring Homes.
“As responsible citizens, we always like to give back to society by doing some charity work. And with this in mind, Ducati Malaysia has agreed to offer a Ducati bike worth RM160,000 as a hole-in-one prize. Malaysia Airlines has provided four economy class return tickets to Jakarta as well.
“We have also received vouchers (for prizes) from Holiday Villa Subang, Tanjung Rhu
Resort Langkawi, Awana Resort Genting and Star City Hotel AOS, as well as vouchers from
Naza Prestige Bikes and other motorbike dealers.
“These are some of the attractive prizes and good support that we have received so far, plus a few others,” said Nik.
He added that many of the participants were big bikers themselves from all walks of life.
“We even have participants from Singapore, Brunei and Labuan,” said Nik.
The patron of the event, Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang, said he hoped the tournament would go off well and wished the golfers “all the best”.
