PM pays a visit to school

THE pupils of SJK(T) Ladang Batang Kali in Selangor had a surprise visitor when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited the school recently.

This was in conjunctio­n with the launch of the 21st Century teaching and learning facility donated by YTL Foundation.

The Prime Minister was accompanie­d by Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramania­m, Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar and Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanath­an.

On hand to explain the features of the Frog Classroom were the executive director of FrogAsia Sdn Bhd Yeoh Pei Lou and teacher Janagaraj Murugan.

“We are honoured to have the Prime Minister visit and launch our Frog Classroom in a school that saw significan­t improvemen­t in pupils’ results through Frog.

“The exam results in SJK(T) Batang Kali have improved since using Frog,” said Yeoh.

The Frog Classroom Programme is a makeover project designed to transform classrooms into vibrant spaces for 21st Century learning.

“We have been partnering with school communitie­s to transform classrooms all around Malaysia, and this is the first ever Frog Classroom launch that is officiated by our Prime Minister,” said YTL Foundation programme director Datin Kathleen Chew.
