> High-rise gardens

The high price of fish and vegetables is becoming a burden to even middle-income consumers. Many families in the Klang Valley and elsewhere live in high-rise apartments. While those living on landed property with a bit of land can grow vegetables, it is also possible for those living in high-rise apartments to grow some greens in plastic or earthenwar­e pots on their balcony or near their windows to save money. Vegetables such as chillies, tomatoes, ladies fingers, brinjal, long beans, french beans, onion leaves and bean sprouts can be easily grown. Some vegetables can also be grown from cuttings. – M. > Use allotted parking

DBI and police should take action against those who park along the road outside Hospital Fatima in Ipoh. They’re a nuisance to the residents in the neighbourh­ood. There is ample parking provided by the hospital. – Laz

Instead of dishing out meagre benefits to pensioners, why not adjust it to an annual increment of 2% to 10% for those who are getting pensions below RM1,000; 8% for those receiving between RM1,000 and RM2,000; 6% for those between RM2,000 and RM3,000 and 4% for those receiving more than RM4,000. – Subra

The Anti-Fake News Bill shouldn’t be so wide. It must specify in detail what is and what isn’t free speech because it’s going to affect freedom of speech for fear of being punished.
