S. Korean actress gets hitched unexp pectedly

IN a surprise announceme­nt, South Korean actress Choi Ji-woo (pic) said she has gotten married, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Quoting Korean media, the daily said Choi, renowned for her role in the hugely popular Korean drama Winter Sonata, has tied the knot with her boyfriend of more than a year.

The news on Thursday was confirmed by her agency, which added that the wedding was held privately as her partner is not a public figure.

Later in a post on her official website, the 42-year-old star said they would be having a private ceremony with family members that day.

“It’s a little sudden but I would like to tell everyone the good news. I will start a happy family with the person I love,” she declared in a handwritte­n letter to her fans, without disclosing the identity of her husband.
