Speak on moderation
THE Universiti Malaya Faculty of Law Consti Team, in collaboration with UM Toastmasters Club is organising its Inaugural Public Speaking Competition with the UM Toastmasters Club.
The theme is “Moderation: An Accelerator of Our Nation’s Progress”.
The competition is an effective platform to boost awareness on the importance of English language as a tool of communication as well as to cultivate an oratory culture among university students.
More importantly, it aims to highlight the concept of moderation - an essential element towards a more rational and harmonious community.
Registration is open and the competition welcomes all university students to take part.
The competition will consist of three rounds, with the first round’s topic being the theme of this competition.
The topics for the second and third rounds will be released during the competition itself. This is to test the ability of the participants on impromptu speaking. Stand a chance to win cash prizes worth RM600, with RM25 as a refundable deposit. The deadline for registration is April 15.

The competition will be held on April 21 from 9am to 6.30pm at the Sultan Azlan Shah Building, Faculty of Law in UM.
